Paralleling Switchgear & Generator Upgrade

Upgrade of existing backup emergency electrical system that consisted of installing two new 2.5MW generators and a new paralleling switchgear lineup within their respective walk in outdoor NEMA 3R enclosures. Scope of work also included running of necessary communication cabling for the BMS to obtain the necessary alarms and shutdown statuses from the paralleling switchgear and generator equipment.

Environmental Monitoring & Building Management System

Complete installation of newly designed EMS & BMS systems that serve new lab space and workstations as part of a 600,000 square foot expansion. The EMS and BMS systems monitored the following equipment: air handling units, fan coil units, generators, automatic transfer switches, along with numerous temperature, humidity, oxygen, and carbon monoxide sensors.

UPS Upgrade

Addition of a UPS system, that included a new bypass isolation ATS upstream of the UPS to feed two new PDU's. The new 225 kVA UPS system consisted of three battery cabinets to serve as a level of redundant power for the PDU equipment, along with power quality metering capabilities. Power and Automation provided electrical support as necessary in order to help assist the 3rd party NETA testing agency and commissioning agent.
